Cybercrime is on the rise and unfortunately lawyers have found themselves to be a preferred target for criminals. In response, the insurance industry has created products designed to indemnify owners and minimize damage to a firm’s reputation caused by a negative cyber incident. Currently the market lacks uniformity in coverage between providers which can lead to confusion about the protection offered by a cyber policy. This seminar discussed many of the common features available in a cyber insurance policy including:

• First and third-party coverages
• Analysis of claims procedures
• Steps to take in response to a breach
