CHICAGO, IL – Richard D. Felice, a lawyer in private practice in Wheaton, and past President of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) was installed as the Chair of the Board of Directors for ISBA Mutual Insurance Company on March 23, 2017.

ISBA Mutual provides malpractice insurance to Illinois lawyers.

As Chair, Felice said, he will help ensure the organization continues its special focus on supporting the needs of small firms throughout the state.

“Technological changes and market pressures make running law firm more challenging than it has ever been. ISBA Mutual understands the unique needs of Illinois law firms like no other insurance carrier.”

Felice, who concentrates his law practice in domestic relations and litigation, served as the 138th President of the Illinois State Bar Association from 2014-2015 where he led the formation of their Solo and Small Firm Practice Institute Series, which offered educational programs to solo and small firm practitioners throughout the State of Illinois. Working with other stakeholders in the law, the institute provides a variety of programming to help lawyers in their practices.

Felice was an appointed member of the Illinois Supreme Court’s Rules Committee, and a past president of the DuPage County Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Foundation and the DuPage County Chapter of The Justinian Society of Lawyers.

Felice received a B.A. degree, with honors, from Loyola University-Chicago in 1976 and a J.D., with honors, from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1979.
